This textbook was developed with input from HUD, OSHA and by EPA for the use of either state or federally approved trainers to provide guidance for those who are about to undertake a Lead-Based Paint Abatement project. The procedures and practices detailed in this material incorporate current technology at the time of publishing. Many of the recommended procedures discussed in this document go beyond the minimum requirements of the various regulations which have been promulgated by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Recommended practices are not mandatory requirements.
