This
material was developed by EPA mostly
for the use of either state or federal
approved trainers to provide guidance
for those who are about to undertake
an asbestos abatement project. The
procedures and practices detailed
in this material incorporated current
technology at the time of publishing.
Many of the recommended procedures
discussed in this document go beyond
the minimum requirements of the
various regulations which have been
promulgated by the U.S. Occupational
Safety and Health Administration
(OSHA) and the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA). Recommended
practices are not mandatory requirements.

5-day asbestos contractor/supervisor
course, the 4-day asbestos worker
course, the 16 hour Asbestos Operation
and Maintenance Course and the 2
