or (8 hours refresher) and is
intended for supervisors of asbestos
abatement projects who perform
response actions. It covers in
detail the work practices, abatement
procedures, personal protection and
relevant Federal regulations that a
consultant or contractor must
consider before beginning to design
or supervise abatement work. Along
with other topics, the course
examines insurance, bonding,
contract specifications, and the
health effects of asbestos.

State and federal law (OSHA, EPA,
and DOT) requires the use of
accredited contractor/supervisors
for all asbestos removal projects in
schools, and public and commercial
buildings. Asbestos
Contractor/Supervisor Initial meets
federal accreditation requirements.
The course includes 14 hours of
hands-on training.
